Once again Vybz Kartel is back in the news (Although it seems as if he hardly ever left.)
In a recent Instagram post he called out several stars in the genre. These stars include Aidonia and members of MVP, a group consisting of Mavado, Alkaline and Jahmiel. In his post Vybz Kartel accused these artists of being, “Metrosexual emotional bitches in their feelings.” This post seems to be part of his continuing skirmish with the MVP, which has been going back and forth over social media for some time now. Aidonia replied to this post where he mentioned that Vybz Kartel could be suffering from mental health issues.
He thinks that Vybz needs to be on suicide watch and that there is clearly something wrong with him. Throughout his incarceration Kartel has continued to maintain that he is still the biggest dancehall star, and Aidonia even agreed with him.
Along with maintaining his position as Dancehall king, the star still manages to find time to record and release new music. Recent songs like Red Eye Girl and Tony Montanna are as fiery as ever and based on the reaction to these tracks it seems as if Vybz Kartel will continue to be world boss until his inevitable release.
