Hip Hop legend Busta Rhymes and Dancehall maestro Vybz Kartel recently teamed up on a collaboration they’re calling, “The Don and the Boss.” Their new track will feature on Busta Rhymes recently announced studio album called, Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.
This is Busta Rhymes first album in more than eight long years and fans are salivating over the prospect of his return. The rapper recently took to social media where he shared an hour-long video in which he revealed everything fans need to know about this new album, and about his friendship and collaboration with Vybz Kartel. This clip features footage of the musicians working together and reveals that the project goes back more than 10 years.
It turns out that these two musicians have an interesting history, and this actually isn’t their first collaboration. The two worked together on fan favorites, “Girlfriend” and, “Wine & Go Down.” Busta Rhymes is also a close friend of Vybz Kartel and has visited him many times in prison.
This new track was produced by top producers Doncarleone and Schife who have also worked with people like DJ Khalid, Gucci Mane and Rick Ross. According to sources this collaboration took place while Busta Rhymes was in Jamaica for the Arthur Guinness concert. Although Busta Rhymes has yet to reveal the release date for his new album, “The Don and the Boss” has already dropped, with fans saying it’s a classic.
